Embed video anywhere: origins, VAST, and the iframe you control

Embedding is the feature most platforms bolt on later. On ZeroStorage it is a first-class route with its own player, its own permissions, and its own ad slot.

The three variants

• Video embed — HLS player, subtitles, keyboard controls.
• Image embed — lazy-loaded figure with caption support.
• Audio embed — compact bar for podcasts and voice notes.

Origin allowlisting

Lock an embed to the domains you host on. Requests from any other origin are refused before the manifest is served, so a scraper cannot strip your player and re-host it.

VAST without a vendor lock

Point the ad slot at your own VAST tag — pre-roll, mid-roll, or companion. The player parses the response and falls back to a clean stream when the tag fails, so a dead ad server never breaks playback.
