Subtitles for free: auto-extraction on every upload

ZeroStorage Team1 min read

If your source file has subtitle tracks, the transcode job won't throw them away. They get extracted, converted to WebVTT, and shown as track options in the player.

What you don't have to do

  • No separate caption upload for tracks already in the file.
  • No manual timing pass — the cue times stay intact after conversion.
  • No per-language player configuration.

Adding captions later

Open the file page, choose Subtitles, and drop a .vtt. The player picks it up without a re-transcode, and the track is available on every embed of that file.

Automatic speech-to-text is not offered — nothing here invents words you did not say.Tell us what you needif that changes your plans.
