Subtitles for free: automatic extraction on every upload
If your source file carries subtitle tracks, the transcode job does not throw them away. They are extracted, converted to WebVTT, and exposed as track options in the player.
What you do not have to do
- No separate caption upload for tracks already in the file.
- No manual timing pass — the cue times survive conversion.
- No per-language player configuration.
Adding captions later
Open the file page, choose Subtitles, and drop a .vtt. The player picks it up without a re-transcode, and the track is available on every embed of that file.
Automatic speech-to-text is not offered — nothing here invents words you did not say. Tell us what you need if that changes your plans.
